2020 Lambing will soon be upon us, starting the third week of January. "Woolly Hollow 0253 "Clay" exceeded our expectations as a sire with the 2019 lambs. Giving us nice bodies, good color and especially the longer ears we were needing in the breeding program. "Clay" had a successful show career with his breeder Dana Gochenour before arriving at Unicorner Farm in 2018.
Now the hard part, deciding who to sell. I have several young ewes from last year that I want to keep. Plus we bought a small flock from the Moores in Bastrop that gave us some different bloodlines to add to our flock. So I really need to get the flock down to a more manageable size. So this is a great opportunity to get some nicely bred Tunis that have produced well for me and carry the various lines that make up Unicorner Farm's flock.
I do have a few ewes that I am willing to part with at this time. All two year olds and older were pastured with Clay from late August until November. I will try to prepare a list of those available soon.
I reserve the right to change my mind on any sale sheep. LOL
